Teresa presented a talk titled: "Robust demographic inference from low-coverage whole genome data through Approximate Bayesian Computation",
explaining our new framework Low-ABC, a new Approximate Bayesian Computation (ABC) approach to infer past population processes using low-coverage whole-genome data.
You can find the details of this framework on BiorXiv.
Teresa also presented a poster, which illustrates her preliminary results on ancient genomes from a necropolis in Northern Italy: Corna Nibbia, as part of the "The origin of social inequalities in Northern Italy: clues from ancient genomes" project
Patricia present a talk titled: "The Neolithic transition from a bacterial perspective: a population genetic approach",
illustrating her analyses on ancient oral bacteria, combining metagenomic and population genomic analyses to investigate the Neolithic transition. This work is part of the "Investigating the transition from hunter-gathering to farming in Southern Italy through metagenomic and population genetic analysis of ancient human dental calculus" project.
